Azizur Chowdhury is the managing director of J.M. Fabrics Ltd., a vertical factory located in Bangladesh, and a director at its parent company New Asia Group. He spent the early years of his career working hands-on in factories, focusing on details in manufacturing such as industrial engineering, labor management, construction and more. For over two decades, New Asia Group has used 100 percent U.S. cotton from a single source, and it has U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol certification. The consistency and reliability of U.S. cotton has given New Asia’s spinning units—Malek Spinning and Salek Textile—an upper hand with a reputation for consistently delivering high-quality, contamination-free yarn. In 2021, Chowdhury was elected director of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association.
