Sarosh Kuruvilla has been on the faculty at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations for the last 30 years. His research interests focus broadly on comparative industrial relations in the Asian region, and specifically on the linkages between economic development strategies and national labor and human resource policies. Mr. Kuruvilla’s work on national skills development has informed government policy and practice in Asia, particularly in relation to Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, and more recently, in China and India. He serves as a consultant to many international agencies, as well as global corporations.
Mr. Kuruvilla founded and currently serves as Academic Director of the Global Labor Institute at Cornell University, which focuses on the study of labor rights and standards in global supply chains.
