Josh Teitelbaum is Senior Counsel at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Teitelbaum served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Textiles, Consumer Goods, and Materials in the Obama Administration, where he was a key negotiator of the textiles chapter of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement. Prior to that role, he advised members of the U.S. House and Senate on a variety of issues, including trade policy. At Akin, Mr. Teitelbaum counsels globally recognized consumer brands and their trade associations on how to navigate the current trade policy developments. Akin is among Washington’s top government affairs and lobbying practice groups, featuring bipartisan leadership, former members of Congress, and former senior Congressional leadership staff. Mr. Teitelbaum’s insights and commentary have appeared on CNBC, Sourcing Journal, The Wall Street Journal, and Reuters.
He lives in Washington, DC, with his wife, two kids, and their Maltese poodle, Paw Simon.
