Jason Kra, Ph.D., is President of Li & Fung, where he leads all factory-direct, wholesale, and distribution import businesses serving major retailers across North, Central, and South America. With more than three decades of experience in global apparel sourcing and logistics, he manages multi-country supply networks spanning Asia, Africa, and the Americas, and contributes to the firm’s senior leadership agenda. 

Prior to joining Li & Fung, Dr. Kra founded and built Foreign Resources Corp. into a leading apparel design and sourcing company with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Korea, and the United Arab Emirates, focused on factory-direct models for North American retailers before its acquisition by Li & Fung in 2012.

Dr. Kra serves as an adjunct professor of supply chain management at American University and Florida Atlantic University. He is a frequent speaker at institutions and industry forums, such as MIT Sloan, NRF Retail’s Big Show, Sourcing Journal events, ISM World, and others on topics including nearshoring, supply chain resilience, digital product creation, and decarbonization. He also serves on the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) board and the Kogod School of Business advisory council, helping connect industry practice with policy and scholarship in global supply chain management.  

Dr. Kra holds a bachelor of science in business administration from American University’s Kogod School of Business, doctor of philosophy in business administration (supply chain) from Florida Atlantic University, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
