Kelly M. Fay Rodríguez served as U.S. Special Representative for International Labor Affairs for President Biden, leading a team in the State Department that launched the first-ever presidential memorandum to promote workers and labor in U.S. foreign policy and trade. Currently, she leads the Competence Centre for Human Rights Due Diligence and co-founded the Alliance for Diplomacy and Justice. She is also a Senior Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and guest lecturer at Cornell University. 

Ms. Rodríguez served as trade oversight counsel for the Democratic majority of the Trade Subcommittee in the U.S. Congress, overseeing enforcement of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement and forced labor-related trade laws. Previously, she worked for the AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations) and Solidarity Center on trade union capacity-building and labor rights advocacy, including leading the Bangladesh country office from 2018 to 2020. 

Ms. Rodríguez earned her law degree from CUNY School of Law and graduated from Trinity College.
