Jeff Glassman is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Darn It!, a quality control, refurbishment, and fulfillment company he built from the ground up.
Earlier in his career, he spent four years in apparel retail before joining his family's clothing manufacturing business, Ronnie Manufacturing, in 1994. When NAFTA-driven shifts sent apparel production overseas and a longtime customer showed up with a truckload of defective pants that needed fixing, Mr. Glassman saw an opportunity where others saw a crisis. He turned down a job offer from a Boston financial firm to launch Darn It! in 1996, building a business around a simple idea: when quality goes wrong, someone needs to make it right.
Today, Darn It! operates a 300,000-square-foot facility—a mill building with deep family roots, once home to a sewing plant where Mr. Glassman's great-uncle and grandfather worked—and has served more than 1,000 customers. What began as a repair shop has grown into a full-service operation spanning quality control and refurbishment alongside warehousing and fulfillment, all under one roof.
Mr. Glassman remains hands-on in both strategy and day-to-day execution and credits the company's staying power to its people. As Darn It! marks its 30th anniversary in 2026, he continues to lead the company under the philosophy that has guided it from day one—"Your Problem Is Our Business."
He is a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
