Adam Whinston joined SHEIN as Global Head of ESG in November 2021. In this role, Adam is responsible for setting and executing corporate strategy across the social and environmental responsibility domain, as well as the company’s sustainability and social impact reporting.
Adam has over two decades of sustainability and supply chain management experience. He was previously Executive Director for International Labor Standards at The Walt Disney Company, where he led the design and implementation of the company’s supply chain sustainability program. As global head of Disney’s responsible sourcing division, Adam also oversaw supplier code of conduct compliance and the creation of solutions for social and environmental responsibility and traceability.

Before that, Adam held positions at SGS, JCPenney and Hewlett-Packard focused on sustainability, environmental responsibility and supply chain management. He has deep subject matter expertise developing strategy and building programs for global Fortune 500 companies in a range of industries including technology, consumer products, retail and entertainment.
