As a retail industry veteran, Rob Smith serves as the Director of Sourcing & Production for the DTC apparel brand, UpWest. A chemist by trade, Rob has traveled the world transforming the fashion industry through innovation. Additionally, he carries out a full range of product development, production & sourcing, technical, investigative and quality control work on garments and fabrics, guaranteeing that products perform to specifications with quick delivery.

Rob has served in various career capacities ranging from a Research Engineer collaborating with government agencies on next-gen protective apparel to a stint on the Victoria’s Secret Innovation team. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Chemistry from North Carolina State University.
