Olaf Schmidt is Vice President of Textile & Textile Technologies at leading exhibition company Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH.
 
Mr. Schmidt is responsible for about 50 events worldwide in the fields of technical textiles, home textiles, garment textiles, and fashion and textile processing. Additionally, he is responsible for leading international trade fairs Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess – all under parent company Messe Frankfurt Inc. – and trade fairs at global textile hotspots Paris, New York, Shanghai and Tokyo. 

Mr. Schmidt is a member of the Board of Directors of Fashion Council Germany, and holds a diploma in textile engineering as well as an M.B.A. from the Hochschule Niederrhein, University of Applied Science.
