Ken Pucker is an operator, investment professional, educator, advisor, board member, and thought leader with a focus on sustainability and fashion. A published author in periodicals including Harvard Business Review, Stanford Social Innovation Review, and Business of Fashion, Mr. Pucker has written extensively on topics like sustainability, ESG investing, reporting, accounting, and fashion, and is focused on the challenges and opportunities at the intersection of capitalism, natural capital, and the climate.
Mr. Pucker is an Advisory Director at Berkshire Partners, a role he has held since 2010. A founding member of the firm’s responsible investing committee, he acts as a Principal Expert Advisor on ESG matters for the portfolio, performs due diligence, supports retail and consumer investments, and advises on new portfolio additions. Concurrently, he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business Administration at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and as Professor of Practice at the Fletcher School of Tufts University.
From 1992 to 2007, he worked at Timberland, where he progressed through roles starting as Operations Manager and ending as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Following Timberland, Mr. Pucker served as Interim Chief Executive Officer at MBT in Switzerland. He began his career as a Municipal Finance Analyst at Goldman Sachs and Research Associate at The Brookings Institution.
Mr. Pucker has served on corporate and nonprofit boards, including King Arthur Baking Company, Nexite, Rag & Bone, Mighty Earth, Rashi School, among others.
He received his bachelor of arts in economics and history from Middlebury College and earned a master of science in management from MIT Sloan School of Management.
