Jessie Kosak is an instructor at ASU FIDM and teaches classes on sustainable fashion and knitwear. Ms. Kosak has worked internationally as a designer for over a decade with numerous brands including Donna Karan New York and St. John Knits.
She used her industry knowledge as Manager of Science and Impact at The Sustainability Consortium to develop assessments to help brands and retailers understand the environmental and social impacts of their products. Ms. Kosak currently runs her own studio practice in Phoenix and focuses on historical practice and the ways historicism affects emotional durability in modern fashion.
She holds a bachelor of fine arts in fashion design and sustainability and a master of fine arts in fashion design and society from Parsons, The New School for Design in New York City.
